Win XP on Fujitsu stylistic lt c-500

Ok... after much slaving, trial and error, and just plain getting frustrated I finally figured out how to install XP on a Fujitsu Stylistic LT c-500 with EVERYTHING working!! The installation is difficult and time consuming but well worth it. Getting XP on the blasted thing is part of the difficult uphill battle... but Mr. Mark Rehorst does a wonderful job of explaining it here. Follow the directions carefully keeping in mind that you MUST have the cd-key for the EXACT CD you use... and that to install XP and get everything to work you really need at least a 20gb hdd and 256mb ram. Without those your system will be slow. Next once XP is up and 'running' you'll notice that your touchscreen is not working. Download the CIC XPen off of the Fujitsu support site... now here comes the interesting part. Unpack the driver to C:\Drivers\Pen once you've unpacked it find the file called fujpen.inf open it in notepad to edit it. You will see:
[ControlFlags] ExcludeFromSelect=*FUJ02B6
Make sure the last digit is 6 in that string... this is saying to exclude that model in the driver. If it's anything other than a 6 change it to a 6. Now then... further down you'll see:
[FPC.Mfg] %FPC.DeviceDesc0% = pendrv, *FUJ02B6
Now... remember what I said about the 6 above? Yeah... the driver is fighting with itself, help it out and change the last number to a 7. Save the .inf file. Go to your device manager right click on the unknown device and update it with the modified file... and presto changeo your touchscreen works!! Now for the other unknown device in there, it is called the Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver. Unfortunately Fujitsu dosen't include a driver for this... but if you google search it you should come across driverguide.com and they'll have it. You will have to sit through a few ads to get it... but wow... the world that is unlocked by xp on this tiny little pad is amazing! Good luck!

No sound from my Fujitsu M532?

Hi Dave, I would suspect that a lateral force has been applied to the headphone jack of your tablet. This occurs when you accidentally pull the headphone plug out at an angle instead of straight in line with the jack. You might be able to find a repair shop to fix this. It might cost as much as the tablet. If under warranty you could try to get it replaced but Fujitsu is terrible in this department. It is ALWAYS wise to get an extended warranty for consumer electronics. People tend to not do thi9s because they shop primarily by price and the extra warranty drives the cost up to high at the time of purchase. Then comes this kind of problem and you wonder why you didn't spend the extra 20 bucks.

I have downloaded the Manual onto my new Fujitsu M532 tablet but cant read it because it cant open the file;. Any idea what is wrong?

It is probably a PDF (Portable Document Format) file. If you want to read it, download and install the free PDF reader from Adobe.com.

My fujitsu m532 can't play movies from sd card

My suggestion would be to look at the format of the movie files you're trying to play and search for a movie player app that matches that. If one exists then download, install and open file from SD card with that app. If for example file type is "*. flv" then search for "flv player for android". My guess is you don't have an app on the tablet that is compatible with the movie file type. Hope this helps.
