I understand that you left the silicone guard on the grates and turned on self-cleaning, now you have white powder inside of your Frigidaire range. This can be removed by using hot water, baking soda, and a non-abrasive cloth. It may take elbow grease in order to remove the white powder. I would recommend not using the oven until you have removed the white powder. I hope this information is helpful for you. -Matt

The oven temperature sensor may be failing or defective. First, check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control to see if there is an issue with loose wires or visible damage to the wiring, such as a burnt wire.

My advice is never to use the self cleaning feature. Each time you use it you are a little closer to breaking something, elements, fans, door latches and one poor man who had a burned / melted control board which was obsolete so he had to purchase a new range. We see it here all the time. It is a great way to sell spare parts. 800 to 1000'F is just too severe for the parts.

Exact same thing happened to me. After a power failure my Frigidaire stove worked and the clock worked but bake broil and self clean gave me a DR error. Tried everything to reset nothing worked. When I unplugged and plugged back in I got an f13 code.I changed the control board and the entire oven is back in business!

A standard oven thermostat should work if it will match the fixing holes. The sensor/thermocouple fits in the oven cavity as yours does.

Move the safety lock/lever at the top of the oven door to the right and press the self clean button on the oven control panel, it is an automatic cycle so it will lock the door from opening and then will proceed with the auto clean cycle. Good luck !

Your wiring diagram and parts schematics are here in the link below. Normally the bottom element does glow read hot after a couple of minutes. Broil elements last a lot longer because they aren't used as much. There is only one Control Board. If I was guessing, I would say the temperature sensor is at fault. Elements either work, or they don't, but you can easily test continuity with a meter. I would call for warranty service or I would return it to store for replacement.

That doesn't sound good and is likely to be a Control Board issue. Turn it off tonight at the breaker and turn it back on in the morning. That is the closest you will get to a Reset. The light in the oven is just a simple switch connected to the door hinge.

For safety purposes call gas technician to check your gas pipe. If stove turn off supposed not to smell gas.

Yes, ribbon cables are tricky. They have to be perfectly entered and locked in place. Undo the connection and re-make it.

Most error codes can be cleared just by unplugging the unit and re-plugging it back in. If this doesn't clear it then I would go to Frigidaire's web site and search for tech support. I did some checking with Frigidaire and they don't show a code f27 I was wondering if maybe it was showing two codes F2 and F7? so it might look like F2,7?

if some light weight oil will not work then you have no option but to buy a new stove .I would try silicon lube first

Here is the error information for Fault Code F7

F7 Lock motor relay watchdog circuit is active when it should be off Microprocessor checking the operation of the EDC lock, relay failed. Replace EDC.
