I have a Fisher TAD 9215. Works great. However, the digital display for the tuner is blank. Is there a fuse for this? It’s really hard to find a station without numbers. Thx

Any time you work on one of these units you must have great patience. Research is the key. The Fisher TAD-9215 is a 5 component system so you must keep this in mind? Checking each component & testing for failure. You can not do guess work. Replacing parts can become very expensive.

Fisher graphic equalizer EQ-550 not working TAPE MONITOR LED and REC EQ LED. Can you resolve it?

The Fisher EQ-550 is a vintage graphic equalizer, and issues with specific LEDs not working could be due to various factors: 1. **LED Bulbs:** If only specific LEDs (like the TAPE MONITOR and REC EQ LEDs) are not working, it might indicate a problem with those specific bulbs. They might be burnt out or loose. 2. **Internal Connections:** Check internal connections and wiring to ensure they are secure and not damaged. Loose connections or damaged wires might cause LEDs to malfunction. 3. **Control Switches/Modes:** Ensure that the EQ-550 is set to the correct modes or settings that activate these LEDs. Sometimes, certain settings might deactivate specific indicator lights. 4. **Component Failure:** If multiple LEDs are not working or if there are other issues with the unit, it could be a sign of component failure within the equalizer. This might require professional repair or replacement of internal components. Due to the vintage nature of the EQ-550, finding replacement parts or professional repair services might be a bit challenging. You can try basic troubleshooting like checking connections and ensuring the unit is set to the correct mode. If the issue persists, seeking assistance from a specialist in vintage audio equipment or contacting a repair service familiar with older audio gear might be the best course of action.

My Fisher MC-723 turntable is spinning very slowly on 45 rpm. I'm unable to play any of my 45s. Not sure if I need to replace the belt.

I totally agree Andrew, of all the turntables we have repaired over the last 40 years I've never seen a belt cause one speed to not work, according to the manual this lists a replacement belt, I was thinking the same thing you were, this is an electronic issue, generally there is a resistor or capacitor that slows the motor down for 33 rpm, it runs at full speed on 45, I've also seen an actual variable voltage motor although that's not common,so the theory of it being an electronic issue seems strange as well. If it actually has a belt I'd look for something miss aligned, where it's not moving the retainer all the way over for 45 RPM. This is kind of a hard one to diagnose without seeing the unit

I don't no what speakers work with my fisher mc-723

The speaker output connections on this stereo system unit are called RCA...named from the inventing company. Computer speakers use what is called a "mini-plug" and as you've found out, the two are not the same. I would suggest checking at your local Goodwill or Salvation Army store for an inexpensive pair of speakers with the proper RCA connection you need. Second choice is the local Radio Shack store...tell them you need speakers with RCA type connections and you will also need two RCA to RCA speaker wires to make the connection needed.

I have a Fisher stereo integrated amplifier CA 9335 sometimes works sometimes doesn't?

Unfortunately this could be anything but after switch on do you hear a 'click'? if you don't then the receiver has gone into protection mode due to a fault on the output stage. The repair shop should be able to handle this. Simple voltage measurements will show an anomaly between the different channels. I would change repair shops if they can't.

HOW TO REPLACE BELTS FISHER CR-W85

  1. Gather the necessary tools: You'll need a set of replacement belts, a small screwdriver or a similar tool for removing screws, and possibly a pair of tweezers or needle-nose pliers.
  2. Power off and unplug the cassette deck: Before you begin, ensure that the cassette deck is powered off and disconnected from any power source.
  3. Remove the outer cover: Most cassette decks have a protective cover that can be removed to access the internal components. Use a small screwdriver to remove the screws holding the cover in place. Keep the screws in a safe place, as you'll need them later.
  4. Locate the belts: Once the cover is removed, you should be able to see the internal mechanisms of the cassette deck, including the belts. The belts are typically made of rubber and are responsible for driving the tape transport mechanisms.
  5. Identify the belts to be replaced: Inspect the belts and identify which ones need replacement. In some
  6. Remove the old belts: Gently remove the old belts from their positions. You may need to use tweezers or needle-nose pliers to grasp and pull the belts off the pulleys. Take note of how the belts are positioned before removing them so that you can install the new belts correctly.
  7. Install the new belts: Take the new belts and thread them around the appropriate pulleys and drive wheels. Refer to any service documentation or diagrams available for guidance if needed. Ensure that the belts are properly seated and aligned.
  8. Test the belt tension: Once the new belts are installed, check their tension. They should be tight enough to drive the tape transport mechanisms without slipping but not so tight as to strain the components. Adjust the belt tension if necessary.
  9. Reassemble the cassette deck: Carefully put the outer cover back onto the cassette deck and secure it in place using the screws you removed earlier. Ensure that all the screws are tightened but not overly tightened.
  10. Test the cassette deck: Plug in the cassette deck and power it on. Test its functionality by inserting a cassette and playing it. Pay attention to the tape transport mechanisms to ensure that the new belts are operating correctly.

Fisher & paykel healthcare cpapp series has E1 message

The E1 error message on a Fisher & Paykel Healthcare CPAP machine indicates a fault in the device's humidifier. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove the water chamber from the humidifier and check for any cracks or damage. If you find any damage, replace the water chamber.
  3. Check the water level in the chamber. If it is below the minimum fill line, add enough distilled water to bring it to the proper level.
  4. Check the inlet and outlet of the humidifier for any obstructions, and remove any debris or buildup.
  5. Check the air filter for any blockages or damage, and replace it if necessary.
  6. Plug the machine back in and turn it on. If the E1 error message persists, you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance or take it to an authorized repair center.
It's important to address the E1 error as soon as possible, as it can affect the performance of the device and compromise the effectiveness of your therapy.

Where can I find a user manual for a Fisher FBX396R wireless boombox ?

Hi, Seller's of the full product should have access to the user manual. So, I would contact them on ebay, amazon and/or walmart first and request that they provide you with the manual in order to move forward. Otherwise, you might need to reach out to the librarians at music-related colleges to see if they have any available copies that you can borrow. Thank you.
