I'd check the manual, if you don't see a manual control on the freezer, I don't think there is a quick freeze control on that model.

Question posted under freezers but appears to be Ameriwood Industries furniture.

If you can identify the model number, you can download a free manual from Ameriwood Industries, which has a contact phone number to call for another model if that is different model furniture.

Example with telephone number:

Hi I have the same problem,

Control board has gone bad....

What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.

To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.

That alarm light means that the unit was too warm for a period of time. The door may not have closed properly. It is a warning to you that the food may have thawed out. It does not mean something is wrong. To reset it switch it off and on or unplug it for a minute.
