Emmerson Phone Manual EM2248

Emerson (EMSEM2646WH) I need to know how I can set up the speaker phone and in a way that will be clear and loud. I lost my manual, could you send another one to me?

If the other person can hear you, then the problem is with the earpiece on the phone. The phone rings using another speaker on the base unit. Swap the mic/earpiece handset unit with another phone and use with existing base unit, to narrow down the fault.

1 answering machine not working; #3 light on,

unplug the power adaptor, phone line and if you have installed one the back up battery for about ten to 15 minutes to reset the device. that should restore it

There is a switch on the left hand side of the receiver that will turn the ringer on and off

We purchased this phone and on the box it claims

Often there is a handset catch near the top of the cradle that must be reversed to allow the handset to hang in the cradle when installed as a wallphone. Typically the phone is initially setup as a desk phone, if this catch piece was reversed it would interfere with lifting the handset. Some models have a screw holding this piece in place, some just slide into cradle.
