Cav i use e recovery outside windows to restore lost or corrupt sys32 driver files on my E4024 emachine p.c.?

If your recovery partition is intact, or made recovery CDs, then yes. The machine will be returned the state it was in when it left the factory. If you have a pre-owned computer, or else the computer was not originally purchased with Windows pre-installed, the recovery partition may have been damaged or destroyed in which case the procedure will be very much more complicated and difficult and perhaps expensive.. Be sure you have copied your data to another disk and have noted any downloads yo have made so that you can replicate what you want. You might take this opportunity to test your hard drive for faukts. 18.December.2014 Acer will have the procedure on their website, and here is another version: http://www.ehow.com/how_2337743_do-emachines-system-recovery-.html

Why computer will not power up

You probably have a bad power supply. An easy way to tell is if you plug another device (any electrical device will do) into your same power source (a power strip for instance) and if you have power to that device, you need a power supply. A decent repair place will charge $70 or so

Computer will not power up

When Windows is updating you basically need to wait for it to finish before you power down or you will find yourself in that endless loop of updating. You may need to reboot into safe mode by pressing F8 as windows is staring up, then let it run updates and again reboot.

Why cant i find (e machines ) listed in my programs under the start menu ? Is there any where else to go ?

Are you expecting a folder or program called 'e machines'? Many machines come with manufacturer branded bloatware, and many users uninstall this stuff to make their machines run better.

Computer wont turn on

Test your PSU power supply unit or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle of restarting or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive power and data cables IDE SATA

the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your dvd\cd floppy drives have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty computers need power and data to travel through every working device to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical or fan lead can cause you problems

motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

also check the Cmos battery and computer RAM modules make sure they are securely seated with no dust built up or in the sockets on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in check you CPU central processing unit make sure its securely seated and has thermal paste it might be getting to hot the thermal paste will help disperse the heat Thermal compound is a sticky paste that is placed directly onto the CPU. Allowing for a more direct heat transfer between the CPU and HEAT SINK and preventing air gaps from forming between the CPU and heat sink. hope this helps

WHERE WOULD I INSTALL AN EXTERNAL SOUND CARD?

First, shut down the computer. Next, you will need to locate an unused expansion slot and then determine which type it is. Most newer PC's have "PCI" and "PCI express" slots (there are others). See the image below to help you identify the slots in your PC. 8339a41f-4529-4fb9-8f0b-ca085dffd732.jpg Choose a sound card that will fit one of these unused slots. Read the directions with the sound card. Some will have you install software first - others want the card installed first. Install the card into the slot and secure in slot with screw or clamp used by your PC and software in the order instructed. You can also install a USB sound card instead of an internal type. This is required if you do not have an available slot or if you are not comfortable opening the PC. Most PCs with sound cards built into the motherboard will automatically be disabled when a second card is introduced to the computer - USB type or otherwise. If yours does not, you may have to disable it in the BIOS or physically remove to old sound card installed in one of the expansion slots. Good luck!

No power to pci-e

if you have a volt meter, take the negative lead and place on a black/neutral pin in the PCI-e cord. Then take the positive lead and check all colored pins (typically yellow) for voltage. Yellow wires are 5volts and red is 12 volts...if there is now power when testing, you have a failed power rail and the power supply must be replaced

Emachine ET1161-05 desktop...monitor keeps going

This may be something that Windows (or the computer is telling Windows) to do. Everyone wants to reduce the power consumption in the computer, so be default your monitor may be going into 'sleep' mode and turning off.
1) To change this, RIGHT click on the Windows desktop. 2) When the menu appears, select PROPERTIES, then select the SCREEN SAVER tab. 3) There are 2 things to check here. First at the top, make sure that your screen saver is selecting something beside BLANK. This will cause the monitor to blank out and appear to have turned off. 4) The second thing to check is the POWER settings. Click the POWER button at the bottom on the screen. 5) Now, you will see 2 rows of power options, one for when the computer is plugged in (which is all the time with your desktop) and the other is when on batteries. We're concerned with the PLUGGED IN settings. 6) Make sure the TURN OFF MONITOR setting is set for NEVER. This will ensure that your monitor never turns off on you. 7) Now click OK and OK and now your monitor shouldn't turn off on you.
Hope this response helps you out.
Best of luck!
