Starla Oldham It appears that there is no manual listed online, but I think that is because you are reading off the DL 5.21 from the controller and that is just the controller model which is made by an electronics company not Merits. The models start with 'P' and 'R'

hi, in most cases it nothing to worry about , the shaft that runs from the motor to the axle bearing , the bearing where the noise is loudest. Brand new Scooters can develop this whining sound after only a couple of weeks. Normally louder when under load otherworld's going up hill etc. Regards Rob

It is indicating a left motor fault, which is not good news. This is usually from a motor overheating and burning out, usually from overloading the chair or from driving it on unstable terrain like mud, snow, wet grass or sand. If that is the case, there could be more damage to the electronics once you get the motor replaced too. Replacing the motor is a lot of work and very expensive, so you may want to try to find a replacement chair.

When you turn the chair on and move the jostick the wrench light will flash you need to count the number of times it flashes to determine whats wrong ie 4 flashes pause 4 flashes pause. If its 4 flashes then you have a motor problem see my tips on flash codes to determine the problem. Whatever the problem is you will have to have the chair fixed by a tech or the provider that sold you your chair Hope this helps

Looks like you have the same scooter as mine, it should be a little white button on the back of the base. If you follow this link, it will give you a pdf version of the older model pride victory manual, (Mine is a three, they are up to about 10!) See fig. 8 on page 20 and 'Circuit Breaker' on page 21. The Shoprider Soverign is not really meant to be dismantle for travel. The best you can do is to remove the seat and fold down the handlebars. Also depending on the year it was manufactured there is a pin towards the back of the scooter that connects the front chassis and rear chassis. You must first remove the batteries to gain access to the pin. If you are elderly you might need help. It is heavy.
