i would check the physicality of the lamp. once you've removed it, look around the filament of the lamp, and if you notice any dark corrosion build around it, then that's what's causing the dim image. if it looks clean and clear, it might be one of the mirrors within the projector's optical engine.

My Eiki lc-xb33 is projecting

You need to remove the cover and check where the lamp light is being attenuated in the optical path from the lamp to the front lens. I would try using a 12volt 50W halogen lamp in place of the real lamp and shine it into the optics system, and see where the brightness starts to go bad.

LC-XG200 bulbs where can I

In the first instance:

Adjust focus of the projector.

Make sure a projection screen is at least 4.1' (1.2m) from the projector.

Check Projection Lens to see if it needs cleaning.

NOTE : Moving a projector from a cool temperature location to a warm temperature location

may result in moisture condensation on Projection Lens. In such an event, leave a
projector OFF and wait until condensation disappears.

My church has an EIKI

Have a close look at the fan and check if there is a make and model number on it.
If you cant see anything, unscrew the fan and check on the hidden sides.
see what voltage it is. ie 12v dc or 24v dc

Ring the EIKI agent and ask them how much for a replacement rear fan, the EIKI part number, and also if they can supply the manufacturer of it and their part number.

Check that the fan connector is OK, and the socket where it plugs in.

Check that the fan turns freely.

report back what you find

How can you view the

The manual for your projector is found here:
http://www.eiki.com/resources/resourcedownload.ashx?filename=/ownersmanuals/om_x986.pdf

My assumption since it is not specifically stated on the location of the counter is it should be located close to the option to reset the counter. I would start here and look around above and below this option.

According to pg 39 the steps to reset the counter are the following:

Turn projector on, press MENU button and ON-SCREEN MENU will appear. Press POINT LEFT/RIGHT button(s) to

move a red frame pointer to SETTING Menu icon (refer to page 37).

Press POINT DOWN button to move a red frame pointer to "Lamp counter reset" and then press SELECT button.
Message "Lamp replace counter reset?" is displayed. Move pointer to [Yes] and then press SELECT button.

Squiggly line down right side of screen. cuts off

I would send to a projector repair services to get a free diagnosis. I got my projector checked at TP matrix projector repairs- the number is 0161 626 4067. They sorted the colour disfigurations out on my projector really quickly and cheaper than most other service providers i found. it was a sanyo projector- but they said they can fix any make.

Sonmetimes projectors just need the optical prism cleaned out. TP did a really good job on mine.
good luck

My data projector eiki LC-Xb23

If the power light & warning light both flash red, this indicates that the projector is overheating. Once the projector has cooled down the warning light would continue to flash red and the power light would be solid red.

You should clean the air filters.

The filters are located on the underside. Disconnect all cables and invert. remove the 2 air filters located at the front and rear by pullingthe latches. They are both rectangular in shape.

Being very careful not to damage them, you should rinse the dust out and leave them to dry fully before replacing them in the projector.

This should cure the problem.
