How can i re configure my computer on windows xp to see my edimax 7416apn now i have a new router
In the "system tray" (the area down near the clock in the lower right-hand corner), you should see an icon that either has bars like on your cell phone, or some kind of icon with waves coming out of it (not the speaker icon). If you don't see an icon like that, then wireless networking is not on. If you do see that icon, click on it, and a list of available networks will pop up. You need to pick the one for your access point. If you didn't change the SSID (network name), then "Edimax AP" should appear on that list. Click on it.
Can i renew/release the rooter ip address?
The WAN IP address of your router is assigned by your provider (TelCo, CATV provider, etc.). Most IP addresses are dynamic - which means they can change at any time without notice. When this actually happens is determined by them. It us not unusual to have the same IP address for months at a time however. There is not really something that you can do to make it change outside of contacting them specifically to have them do this for you.
LAN address changes are easier - and it is a process you can perform yourself. Do you need instructions for that? Keep in mind that changing a LAN address will not restore connections to a site that has blocked your IP. They have marked your WAN IP and no connection from the local area network (LAN) in your house will be able to connect.
