I am trying to watch a USB drive on my 55" TV. I found the proper slot, inserted the drive, it blinked to let me know it was in properly, but I can't access it from the input menu. How do I access it?

I suggest you read the tv instruction manual - perhaps it requires the media to be in a particular format before it recognises it. Just because a tv has a usb slot it doesn't mean it is a media slot - it could be a slot for maintenance and software updates.

My Telefunken TDV-322 player randomly stops, pauses or opens disk drive when playing any DVD. Pressing play resumes the movie but then it randomly pauses or stops or ejects, no real pattern again.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size..

My Pansonic DMR-EX78 has suddenly stopped working properly.

Sorry but this is not good news. You can try unplugging the unit and leaving it for about five minutes. Then seeing if it comes back on. If it doesn't and goes back to the above performance, if you have a disc in the drive still, there are instructions in the manual I think on how to get a stuck disc out. But if it still won't return to normal, I'm afraid to say the machine is junk. Since Panasonic will charge you as much as what you paid for for a new DVD drive. For that is what has failed. One thing you can do if it is not under warranty, is take off the top cover and look at the DVD drive. If it is a sealed unit then, it will need to be replaced. Panasonic want about £400 for one! If it's not you might be able to get it fixed. If it is under warranty then they will repair it and you have saved a lot of money. If not then it's junk. I once bought a newer model than yours and it did the same thing as yours, after 1 month use!! It turns out that Panasonic are not as good as they used to be and most are made by a company called Vestal who are rubbish!
