I need to replace the gasket in the shower knob, where is the shut off valve?

you will need to see if there is a seperate turn off near the shower. (usually behind the wall in an adjoing room. if not you will need to locate the main for your water and turn off the entire house while you fix this problem.. The Home Depot has several how to's on there web site for this issue.

Spout leaking on moen kitchen faucet

Remove the rubber O ring (turn off Water supply at meter first), then take your O ring to the hardware store to obtain a new one. You may have to stretch the new ring under hot wster before installation, If you do not feel comfortsble doing this yourself, call an expert.

Tighten Delta kitchen faucet

If you have the two handled Delta, the cartridge itself can be replaced with a new one. The old one may have the O-ring seal deteriorating to allow it to move as you see it move. The O-ring itself can also be replaced by itself. If you have the single handle version and the seal the ball sits on is moving, the selas can be replaced, and they are simply fished out with a paperclip bent into a small L to hook the spring and seal and draw them out. If the single handle typ handle is loose it held in place by an "Allen wrench"/hex key wrench. If the handle is loose on a double handle type, just lift the "H" or "C" cap out of the handle and tighten with a phillips screwdriver. It might just be they never installed the screw.

Delta 473 faucet very loose where it meets the granite

11_29_2011_7_52_39_am.jpgThis is a view from the underside of our sink. Is this what you were talking about? The steel plate is W-shaped (upside down in this case) and has a single nut larger than 3/4". It's almost impossible to fit a wrench up there to tighten it.

Brand new delta roman tub

Cna you remove water line feeding hot side to make sure it has correct flow. It could have something blocking inside of water line. And check hot inlet side on faucet to make sure it is open and not blocked.

Remove line you can run water in a bucket to ensure that hot side water line has no blockage in it and have someone help you with turning water off and on for you.

I am repairing my Delta

Remove the set screw holding the handle on. Pull the handle off and then remove the large diameter slotted nut holding the ball valve in place. After you remove that the spout, remove the ball valve abd then just pull the spout up and off. You may have to work it back and forth and you may have to spray some WD40 and let it sit overnight. It will come off.

Pull down part stick so

Hi,
The spout can easily be replaced...
Check for a set screw underneath back at the wall...
If no set screw then simply twist the spout of by turning CCW...
Then find a replacement spout at your local HD, Lowes< or hardware and reinstall the new one...
The replacement spouts are so cheap that it is not worth trying to fix the old one..

I have a delta Palos

The aerator simply unscrews by turning it counterclockwise. You may have to use a pair of adjustable pliers in order to remove the aerator. Wrap a rag around it to prevent scratching the aerator. There is no other filter in the unit but it may still be clogged if a large piece of debris enters the faucet. To dissemble the faucet, remove the set screw under the handle and pull the handle off. The set screw requires an allen wrench of the correct size. Now remove the cap and then with a large adjustable wrench remove the bonnet that holds the valve assembly in place by turning counterclockwise. Pull the valve assembly off and then pull the hub assembly off. Notice the o-rings and how they are installed. You now have the unit apart as much as possible. Clean it out and reassemble. This diagram will show you a breakdown of the parts and how they go together. Click the link for a larger photo. clay58_47.png
