What is the model of the unit? IF the screen is bigger than 24 inches you wont be able to get it sent to you. It can only be sent to an authorized service center.

yes u can. some r harder to get, like Polaroid,or Westinghouse.

I had the same thing happen, I used external system and the sound worked. You can't get the sound board fixed. I tried. Dell TVs stink. And there customer service are no help.

Power supply replacement.

You need the service manual for this. Try to find the service manual in the net. Or chamge the power supply board. Good luck. Serge.

Main system control IC fault.

If you look very close at your screen (might need flashlight here), do you see the picture as a black screen? If so, your backlight may have died on the panel. Replacing the inverter board will fix that right up unless the tube (lightbulb) has burnt out instead of the board. Both are replaceable.. Check it out.

If it is a projection screen you have to take it apart. First lay the tv face down on a bed then remove the screws that hold the back on. Be carefule some of the screws are hidden and most of them are torx bit. Please make sure you dont void any waranty by doing this! When you have all the screws out the flip it back over and carefully pull the face and screen off. This will allow you to clean it. DO NOT use anything but mild soap and water. I hope this helped.
