you may need to adjust the diverter cartridge on the valve to fix the switch control arm. Here are the steps to do so: Turn off the water supply to the faucet and open the valve to release any residual pressure. Remove the handle by loosening the set screw with an Allen wrench and pulling it off. Unscrew the bonnet nut and remove the diverter cartridge by pulling it out with pliers. Check the O-rings and seals for any damage or wear and replace them if necessary. Align the diverter cartridge with the valve body and push it in firmly until it snaps into place. Screw the bonnet nut back on and tighten it with a wrench. Reattach the handle and secure it with the set screw. Turn on the water supply and test the faucet for proper operation. This is a Moen single lever bathroom faucet. The Cartridge needed is Moen 4000.

Either this is a consequence of having a "low-flow" shower head, or the pipes are too small or have too many bends and elbows to support the flow rate required at 65 PSI for such a large shower head. What is the water pressure at the shower head fitting while the shower is running? It won't be 65 PSI, but it shouldn't be below the recommended inlet pressure for the unit.

reassembled the diverter incorrectly

perhaps you need to replace the cartridge and the stem you can try home depot for parts or a plumbing shop

you need a new cartridge if its fairly new. if its an older faucet it will have to be replaced, usually the hot water side warps the fixture and it leaks there nothing you can do about it except to replace it.

being a new faucet it does that because you still have air in the line. turn the faucet on and let it run for a while, if that doesn't work take it back and get a better quality faucet like a delta, because they make them so cheap that the seal could be loose inside.

Do you have water coming out of the tub spout and not the shower head? If so how does the water get directed to the shower head,is it by pulling up the diverter on the tub spout?If water is still coming out of the tub spout then the diverter is bad and the tub spout needs to be replaced.

Is the hot water pressure good at other fixtures in the house? I'm guessing your newer valves have a scolding adjustment that is set very low. Check the instructions that came with the valve assembly.

Possible issue with pressure balancing cartidge, When you remove parts, turn off water, remove parts, slowly turn on water and see if brass valves lets water out. If yes pressure balancing cartridge or cartridge itself is defevtive.

Don't try to repair it. Replace it. All hand held showers use 1/2" hose fittings so any brand divertor should fit. Bring the part with you as there are different styles.

unscrew head with cresent wrench...soak head in viniger over night....this should clear holes...wash out...if has restrictor...remove and replace using teflon tape..

sounds like handle is not engaged....pull handle...may need allen wrench...after handle is off see if you can turn water on with pliers...should go from right to left...if that works...install handle and tighten with allen wrench....handle should set from off area...see if handle is stripped out or not on proper...if need new handle...pick up at lowes or plumbing supply...good luck

the 8 inch version has 1 cartridge for hot and one for cold..shut off water.remove handle...unscrew metal retainers...these hold in cartridges....they ride in notches in metal...put in as you pull out 1 by 1..under these you should have 1 spring and 1 rubber seat replace those also if needed...sometimes easier if you do seats and springs if you have drips...cartridges rarely leak...good luck

you have to turn off water ....remove cartridge and use heat proof plumbers grease on all inner and outer parts of value and cartridge and body...do not be shy with grease...this should make it better than new...if not buy a new cartridge then grease all...try first to see if works..

they either have a small cap on front to pop off then screw under cap..or they have under or to side of handle a very tiny set screw recessed...it is a allen screw...loosen and pull out...

pull handle...unscrew big nut and pull straight out...may take some force...reinstall hot side to left...after cooling...turn on water test for leaks

this is caused by plumber not strapping pipes properly and probably not having air chambers install for knock...not much you can do unless you can get to pipe and strap...or spray with spray foam to set and secure pipes...
