My connex 3300 will not lock on correct frequency it either goes to 25 mhz or 28 mhz
Turn the BAND knob (under the RF power selector switch) in conjunction with the High Low selector switch to choose band A, B, C and in the other position D, E, F. A listing of frequencies that can be tuned in this manner can be found by clicking the link below:
http://hotspotcb.com/charts/freqchar33.htmlA few words of caution.. the FCC takes a very dim view of unauthorized use of frequencies. The only range of frequencies that you can legally use without an FCC issued license (in the U.S. anyway) are those in Range D. If caught transmitting on any of the other frequencies without the proper license(s) fines and imprisonment may result. No one ever expects to get caught - but plenty do. If you'd like to gain the use the 28Mhz and up frequencies, check out:
http://www.arrl.org/licensing-education-trainingAmateur radio is not shackled by channels, power limits less than 1500 watts nor limited to AM and SSB modes. Check it out! Good luck!
There is no power anywhere in the cb
Check power leads inside of radio, "usually red and black" right off the leads there should be a black diode "shorts" if wires have been hooked up backwards, also check for an open foil on the printed circuit board.
I want my talk back louder on my connex 3300hp
- Under the top cover of the radio is the solder side and a 440 Kilo Ohm resistor (See Pic)
- More resistance will quite the talk back. Less resistance will make it louder. You will need to experiment a bit to find the level that suits you. I would start with a 200 Kilo Ohm.
- This is for the more common Connex with the knob that has an adjustment for echo/talkback. If you have the other on then say so and I will direct you for that one.

I need the frequencies for this radio
Here's a list:
Frequency ChartKeep in mind - only those frequencies in "D" can be transmitted on in the US. These are the Citizen's Band (or C.B.) Radio frequencies. The others are above and below the FCC allotted range for CB. Transmitting on these other frequencies requires an FCC issued license. You can face fines, imprisonment or both if caught transmitting without the proper license.
I need a wiring digram for a rk 56 inside the mike

- Black
- Red
- Lite Blue.
- Dark Yellow (This yellow wire comes from the mic cord itself)
- Shield.
- Lite Yellow. (This yellow wire runs off to the side of the mike to the electrical components inside the mic)
- Standard 4 pin Cobra mic tip to run it to that Connex.
- Pin 1 - Shield.
- Pin 2 - White.

Hi looks like youve blown what we call the dummy diode at rear of radio this will have to be replaced although you can remove this yourself if you need it working pronto so firstly remove both covers of rig ,look closely at circuit board at the rear on the right hand side as you look you will see a black diode with silver stripe remove this ,your radio should operate fine now ,but please make sure you have it replaced as soon as possible as this protects your rig from damage goodluck
I have a connex 4800 dsl its a great cb but I need
- This site does not allow a big enough spot to upload a diagram that would be beneficial for this purpose so I had to upload it off site. Since this radio is often converted to run on 11 meter (CB frequencies) the diagram I uploaded corresponds with the frequencies after conversion.
- On the Connex radio's the band "HI/LOW" switch determine the band you are on in relation to the knob. If you want the original, stock, frequency chart let me know and I can put that up as well.

I have a Connex 3300 hp. It wont transmit and wont
It sounds like an cold solder joint if the radio has set unused for a period it could be a electrolytic capacitor. After this condition reappears preferably on the bench remove the solder side cover an gently press on the pcb board with a no conductive objected a pencil with the eraser contacting the board a low light area might reveal a spark if your luck.
Remove power from radio and turn volume know on then off.
If you are handy with a soldering iron i would use silver rosin core solder and a 35 watt max soldering iron and solder ******. Now with care tighted the pcb board screws and retouch the solder in the crystal area look around the board for corrision or dull colored solder this can but does no always indicate a cold solder joint. Just a tip dont just remelt solder add a little the rosin flux allows the solder to flow. As temped as you may be do not resolder the long ic chips they are very easily damaged by heat. Good Luck an i hope this was of help.
Got a connex 3300HP has
You may have a dead meter.
Modulation is audio's affect on swing wattage or pep. Notice that needle moving more with your voice.
Dead key or carrier wattage is without your voice enhancing the power only with mic keyed.
I can only assume that the chipset you are referring to is an ic chip audio or pll which must be working if you are receiving audio.
Check your mic cord................ transmit and modulation and even your receive volume can be affected by the cord/mic plug solder joints or broken wires here.
http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/galaxy/dx33hp2/graphics/dx_33hp2_sch.pdf this is a similar radio the General Lee, Connex 3300hp and Galaxy hp2 share boards i believe dont hold me to that thou.
My connex 3300 will go
hi sounds to me like you have a dry solder joint or joints along the board somewhere this happens mostly to old rigs as such I suggest you remove both panels and check for bad solder joints you can check this with multimetre if you have one to hand goodluck with it
I have a Connex CX-3400
- If you never popped the cover (they can tell) then this should covered by the 1 year warranty. As for what happened, well you would have to pop the bottom off and look for the smoked part and get a schematic and replace the smoked parts and go from there. Anything could have happened to be honest. Most likely a resister fried like a cockroach.
- I would contact the place you got the radio from and explain what happened. Talk to them about the warranty fix. If you run into roadblock and you want to fix it yourself then put up some detailed pics of the inside of the bottom side (non soldier side) of the circuit board so I can see what smoked out on your board.

The only thing that comes to mind is to make sure the antenna is well grounded and to make sure that where it's been re routed that there are no power wires next or close to the antenna wire which can cause interference which will be more noticeable once you turn on the truck.
