Hooked up my connex 3300hp backwards
this usually just blows the fuse, check/replace and try again, if it pops the fuse, the protection diode has shorted and the radio needs to be serviced
Peak and tune connex cb radio
I just answered that in the link below
Has low volume with volume all the way up
You've been close to another big radio......you think that was a question but I believe it is the answer. The rf amp transitor or the diodes in that circuit have been damaged. So that stage of amplification is not stepping it up for the next. Resulting in the electrical power converted to air audio by speaker isnt available. Cb shops refer to this as a blow front end. Tr17 is the transistor location .......just a side note some radios have a mic circuit check that dulls audio levels this is not the case here.
Cb radio modulation
use the vr adjustment points to adjust the AMC modulation. DO NOT cut the mic audio limiter tr-32 or the modulation limiter tr-54. it will over-modulate and splatter out of band if you do
failed driver final transistors or voltage supply to driver and final
if your RX is aok then chances are the PLL and TX mixers etc are aok leaving only the first answer or a broken mic or TX switching circuit caused prob by a bad mic cable
Power problems power stays on cant transmit or recieve
the power switch is fused shut you need to replace it and also the 5v logic supply regulator has failed perhaps this prob means there is no supply too the PLL and logic
this can all be caused by poor quality cheep power switched employed in every cb ive ever serviced rubbish and cruddy so check for all voltages and when and where you need them work from this
then youll quickly find the issue
Need to tighten volume knob on my connex 4300hp
I'm assuming you mean just the knob, and not the shaft behind it, if it's a D shaped shaft, a slip of paper in the knob will tighten it up, if it's knurled and round shaft, spread the split in the middle open slightly until the knob is tight
The power cable for this is a standard one with red for +13.8v and black for 0v. The FC connector is for an external frequency counter.
Just because there are less wires than pins on a connector, does not mean there is a problem.
