I lost the manual, how do I set the day and time,
I have this answering machine...
To set the day and time press the "REPEAT" button and hold it in. It will say something like "Time not set." and if you keep holding it it will say, "Monday." Now release the "REPEAT" button and use the "ON/OFF" button to cycle through the days. When it says the correct day, press and releasethe "REPEAT" button. Then it will go on to set the clock and you're done.
To adjust the rings, there is a slide switch on the top where the cords plug in. You can switch it to 2, 4 or TS (Toll Saver). Toll Saver generally lets it ring for about 5 rings before answering.

I can not get a dial tone ??? CID244W
This can be a shorting in the input line of the telephone which makes the input voltage of about 50 Volt DC drain into the switching device.
So trace the voltage drain into the circuit to confirm.
How do you delete a message
To delete messages from your answering machine, you need to play the message or view the message, then you select erase when you finish listening to the message. That should do the job for you.

TWO WAYS SOLUTIONS
The
mailbox Service is a service provided by the Cox Corp. that
allows you to store and check voicemail messages on your home landline
phone.
Of course, because the size of the voicemail inbox is not
unlimited, you will eventually need to delete some of your stored
messages to make way for new ones. Fortunately, this process is not
overly difficult, and you can accomplish it with a simple phone call.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
-
1
Dial your home phone number from your home land-line. This will bring you to the main menu of the Cox voicemail system.
-
2
Press the "*" key on your phone, and input your password when prompted by the computerized voice.
-
3
Press "1" to begin a playback of all your stored messages.
-
4
Press
"7" to delete each message in turn. Continue to press "7" at each
message until all the messages in your voicemail inbox are deleted.
SOLUTION 2
