If this is the case then money signs are going to soon be appearing. replacing the charging system is impracticle and the system blocks startup so this would even cause a new battery to not function properly and also probably what ruined your previous one.

DO NOT tamper with your pda if it stil in warranty. The following solution is for out of warranty pda'S ONLY. Sounds like your LCD cable is loose. You need to reseat the cable. It is only slightly tricky but can be easily done by a novice. You will need a Tortion screwdriver with a T7 socket to unscrew the back plastics (only 4 screws). Once done look on the circuit board and notice the horisontal brown plastic socket running down the side of the circuit board. You should also see a brownish cable running to the front (to the LCD). This is your LCD cable. Reseat it very gently. Do not use any force here.

Hi, most iPAQs have a soft reset at the bottom right which can be pressed with the use of the stylus. also, there is a hard on/off switch (which erases most info) on the bottom left inside a small/narrow slot/hole. Most iPaqs use a small AC Adapter This model will still need an AC Adapter, because it does not draw any current from USB to charge.

So you can just copy a jpeg file over to the IPAQ and then click on that file and it will display it. It's best to resize your photo down to below 100KB before you copy it to the IPAQ.

I'm not sure if Pocket PC Explorer is like the full Explorer version, but if you go to the Internet Options Control Panel, select the Advanced Tab, Scroll Down to the Multimedia Options and there are selection options for showing pics, playing sounds, etc. Hopefully, Pocket Explorer is similar and all you need to do is activate the option to show pics. Try this, take the ipaq off the cradle, turn the ipaq off (if you can), restart the desktop, put the ipaq back in thc cradle, turn the ipaq on, and restart ROM update again.

Try uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling ActiveSync on the host. If you haven't yet upgraded to 3.6, maybe upgrading will clear up the problem.

Which Texas Hold'em are you referring to? There are quite a few of them. A link to it would be helpful. And what version of operating system are you running? And finally have you tried soft-reset the iPAQ and see if the game works? By the way, please don't post in all capital letters. It's not that big of a deal, but many people equate it with shouting, to me it's just harder to read.

Yes, I did. Actully for my model it is at the bottom. I used that along with RESET key - which makes 'Hard Reset' - but the same Red screen remains....

Once Options are selected, they will be remembered (unless hard reset or total loss of battery power), so there is no need to select Options each time iPAQ Backup is used. In the case of hard reset or complete loss of Battery power, the options setting will require resetting.

Yes. Storing the backup image file to iPAQ File Store or to a storage card is an easy method to recover when having to hard reset the unit.
