2 blinking light on coleman evcon. i know its pressure switch. how to fix??
If your unit is shutting down due to the outdoor pressure switch. The main two problems are the outdoor fan is bad ( the blade is not turning at full speed or not at all, motor getting hot after running a while and shutting down) or the outdoor coil is dirty. The outdoor coil gets a lot of dirt and debris impacted in the finn area. You need to disconnect all power and wash it out with a water hose. You must wash it the opposite flow from the airflow. If the air is pull through then wash the opposite direction. If it's cycling on the low pressure switch then the indoor blower may be the problem, low on refrigerant, dirty filter, dirty coil.
How old is my comeman evcon furnace model number mpg075an1a
Its been a while since I worked on Coleman/Evcon units but if I remember correctly, the first 2 digits of the serial number is the month the unit was built and the next 2 digits is the year it was built and the rest of the number is how many were built..
For instance serial #11071025 it was built in the 11th month of 2007 and this was the 1,025th unit built.
Furnace not cycling properly.
you might want to check the filter, if the filter is restricting the airflow the furnace will over heat and it will shut down. if you turn it off and on it will reset it and it will try again. Pull the filter out half way and try that, if it runs fine then clean the filter or get a less restrictive one.
