Not really, they don't lose efficiency. Electric heating is notoriously expensive. To reduce your bill make sure your home is well insulated especially the roof space and make sure there are no drafts from doors and windows and floor edges.

What error code are you getting?

Are you saying the fan comes on without the burner heating?

The AC unit outdoors must be running and rejecting heat by its air flowing through it the 2 copper lines are the refrigerant lines, the fatter one should be "beer can cold" if not its low on refrigerant or not running.

Check there is gas to light nothing blocked check flame sensor is clean check igniter is in correct postion .check air filter is clean check pressure switch hose not split of cracked

check and test blower and its circuit

perhaps it needs Freon and that is not a DIY task sorry

Don’t know the actual resistance but a common mistake that people make when testing heaters are not unhooking the power wires. Unhook at least one side, either red or black before testing continuity. You will then find your problem. Likely a bad limit switch, not coil.
