somewhere near the power/charger hook up should be a little hole that says reset, just take a paperclip or toothpick and push the reset button ..dont worry you wont lose any data or important file

Factory Reset: go to Settings from the home screen. Click on "Privacy" and then click on "Factory Data Reset." Go through the data reset process. This will remove all personal data from the device. Or Shutdown the tab, enter the recovery console by holding both the return button and the power button until you see the android icon with a triangle. Press return button again and recovery menu will appear. Navigate through the recovery menu using vol up/vol dn or home and menu buttons on the tablet. Select "wipe data/factory reset." and then "reboot system now"

markus could it be that you formatted the internal flash and not the external SD ? try removing the SD from your tablet and restarting it make sure it's pluged to the charger so we dont have a power issue

Without symptoms, no way to tell what's wrong, but there are places that do repairs on this unit. Google shows several places that do repairs. try "coby kyros tablet repair" in a search to get addresses or contact info.

Most likely a failed battery not holding a charge, if so, repair locations can be found on the net. Parts can be found on Amazon if you are a technician. There are no user serviceable parts in tablets.

Most likely the battery is shot. If you could, try to power it up with the adapter supplying power. If this is successful it indicates that the battery is done for and no longer holds a charge. Most of the batteries on small, inexpensive tables only last for a couple of years. Yours may have used up it's life waiting in a warehouse. I have generally been unable to find replacement batteries for these tablets. There is a company in China that makes most of them as custom runs for small companies and does not stock replacements. You may also try to do a "factory reset" while the "powering up" logo is showing, find and press the reset button while using the power adapter for juice. If you manage to get it to run on the power adapter, and find that the battery is shot, there is little chance of portable use anymore.
