Hi, please start by using the midland mic user manual to understand to how to wire it to your radio device. You can call midland to ask them for the manual if you don't currently have it, and they should be able to email you a copy. Thank you.

Check to see if the meter needle is swinging backwards when you key up. If it does your final may be bad. If the needle goes forward and others say they see your keying up but no sound your audio chip may be bad; especially if you have tried so many mics and antennas. If your radio has a swr warning light and it comes on this could extremely limit your range and others may not hear you and contiued use will damage your radio. Good luck!!!

There are a lot of antennas on the market, you need to be wary or some of the cheaper ones because the corrode quickly. Antennas are a very important part of any radio setup and they can make or break your signal. I use this company and I highly recommend them: Sirio Antenne - HOME

if you are transmitting fine Don't worry about the meter. Get an external SWR meter, they are better anyway.

Also, make sure the the switch next to the meter is all the way up on s/rf setting. thats for signal power and receive strength.

No aerial/poor connection to the aerial will cause the PT to burn up taking the 2A fuse out. If there is no fuse you will have the added delight of repairing the burnt pcboard inside as well as a new power transistor.

Hi I have a cobra 29ltd crome I can receive but when I key the mic to talk like it use to before in the talk back and the needle doesn't move with I talk in the mic.

You need to be an electronics engineer to diagnose why a component continually fails. It obviously has too much power or the replacement resister is the wrong value, or a component on either side of it is failed and also needs replacing. Check antenna conditions. Bad Impedance antenna,must have 50 Ohms

You would need to take the radio to a qualified repair person, i.e., a CB repair shop If the radio power output is 4-watts or less, as measured by an accurate wattmeter connected to a dummy load, then there is no need (from a legal perspective) for reducing it.

You cannot. You need an appropriate FCC licence to make any adjustments to the transmitter.

Make sure it is not on PA, if there is absolutely not a setting issue, then the unit is new you need to take it or send it back.

You will need to rewire a plug to fit to do that and it will be OK if there is no background noise.
