Casio Pathfinder - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

It's probably the small spring which makes electrical contact between the watch aluminum back and the outer housing, presumably to provide an electrical ground connection to the outside triple sensor. I've attached a photo with the location indicated by the yellow circle and arrow. It goes in the little hole and will fall out if you're not careful.11_14_2012_6_41_27_pm.jpg

I own the a same CASIO PRG-240 watch.I think there is no problem.Charging every solar powered watch under direct sunlight has to be made in a well lighted and ventilated area, such as balcony and never behind a window glass.Charging from LOW to FULL is a long way (see instructions). Now showing FULL and when removed after a while, MEDIUM, is normal as the battery is not really fully charged. If you use an incandescent light, place the watch at least 50-60 cm distance from it.Usually there are no great results with the incandescent light.I never use this option. Wear your watch for a couple of days (a week for example) under sunlight as much as possible and check. If it still shows MEDIUM after a time period, may be a battery replacement will solve the problem.

I suspect there is water leaking in to the sensor unit circuit located just behind the sensor. The Casio service would change the sensor, and all the gaskets in the watch. Then do a water pressure test on the case and etc. to make sure no leaks. I do not think you can service this yourself. You would have to know exactly the parts to buy and have the tools, and the pressure chamber to verify the gasket seal performance. You should send it to Casio with a copy of your complaint. Look up Casio on the Internet and choose your country. Go to support to find the service address and instructions of where to send the watch. If you email them it can take a few days till they respond. They will send you the specific instructions. Their service is terrific. I own a number of their high end watches. In fact I have one with them being serviced. Sometimes I have broken the glass because I am rough with my watches at times.

mcdevito75 here, Ebay is your best bet. They have a large selection of wrist bands for all watches. Or, you can visit a small watch repair shop in your area for a new band.

If a Casio watch has a display readout that says "OPEN", the watch isn't closed properly. Check if all the parts are inside the watch and make sure the watch is tightly screwed shut. If the watch was serviced at a repair center you should return it to have it checked (for missing parts).

Your watch is solar powered, so I think it isn't charged lately. At a low charge, the watch goes into saving mode by switching off the display (while keeping the time, date, etc.). To charge the watch leave it in a brightly lit spot for a day or two. That should be enough to make the watch function as normal again. For more information, you can download the manual of your watch here (direct download link): Timepieces Watches Manuals CASIO

On the Casio website, this model 6054 isn't recognised. With the module number (you'll find it in a small rectangle on the back of the watch case) you can download the manual for your watch here: Timepieces Watches Manuals CASIO

I've had the same problem with another Casio watch and in my case I didn't place the inner parts of the watch exactly right. This must be done very precisely, otherwise one or more button functions don't work. Maybe it is worth a try to check the alignment of the inner parts of the watch.

This watch must be returned to Casio service center for servicing, pressure test and complete tune-up.

Around the outer edge of the watch there will be an indention. Pry open with a small screwdriver. Your internal compartment should be right there.
