You have the ISO Setting set too high. This is the setting that in a film camera was called 'film speed'. The higher the ISO, the better it will take pictures in low light. Yours may be set to 3,800 ISO, when it needs to be on 200 or 400. The light during the day is bleaching out the sensor and that is what you are seeing on the screen. Also the higher the ISO, the more grain you will see in images.

Try not to connect at front usb. Only back USB (due to lack of power in it)

Clean front and back + - terminals in camera careful with fine emery paper. Also, MAKE sure batteries are not loose if they are they will not make the connection. Fine jeweler screwdriver will pick them out enough.VERY CAREFUL.I truly think this is it.regards Billy

If it has been damaged by something you have done, then the warranty will not cover it, and repair will be expensive.
I am a little confused, anyway - I can find no reference to a Nikon D1500, and the image displayed and title of your posting is 'Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS IXUS'. Do you actually know which camera it is that you have ?

You have to go like a surgeon, get the loose part and resolder it back on the board. Sounds easy but it is not - working on those cameras is a bear because they are so small and have so many screws and ............G2 is a great camera - I have 2 of them / go for it. Good luck.
