Canon FS - Popular Questions, Answers, Tips & Manuals

install your cam with the software provided when you bought it new, then will be ok.

I cannot tell you what the error is, but perhaps I can give you some tips on how to solve the problem. First, try to read the SD card on your computer. Is it formatted? if not, format to FAT 32. Are there any file structures? If so, erase and format the SD card to FAT 32.

If these activities do not work, then try with another SD or SDHC card (type 10 if possible) and see if the error is replicated.

From there, recommend contacting Canon customer support for assistance.

The default is to start a new clip every time you press the stop button, but in settings you might be able to tell the camera to continue with the same clip provided you press record again with a set time. Not sure why you want to do this though - it's much easier to edit using small clips than very large ones.

I guess the lens cover mechanism is stuck.

It sounds as though it may have become overheated. If it continues to show this problem and the camera is not too warm when used then it may have been damaged by the heat. Temps in cars can get very hot. It could also be a physical damage issue if the camera was not in a case and slide around unprotected.

Plug in a 3.5mm stereo "pin" plug, into the external microphone input. This will open the internal microphone circuitry and allow for silent recording.

You will need a 3.5 to rca ( RED,WHITE,YELLOW) , then select the input source video, 1,2 or 3 pending what tv you have , if you have no rca inputs and just a screw in cable input , you can buy a converter for around 20 bucks , good luck

Visit (part of CNET), and search for 'video convert' You'll see dozens of programs that can do the job. Make sure you select one for your OS (Windows, Mac, etc.), and be aware that there are both 'free' and 'trial' programs there to try. Also, read EVERY screen when installing, being sure to UNcheck any optional stuff you do NOT want (toolbars, new browsers, etc.).'platform%3DWindows%2CMac%2CiOS%2CAndroid%2CWebware%2CMobile&filterName=licenseName%3DFree'platform%3DWindows%2CMac%2CiOS%2CAndroid%2CWebware%2CMobile&sort=&rpp=10

On the bottom of the camers on the battery door there is a sticker with some letters and numbers. The serial number is the first 12 numbers that are listed on the first 3 rows. No letters at all.
