Could be the motherboard, or a fuse. Without having it in hand it is hard to tell what it is. Check to see if there is an inside fuse in it.

If you will go to your remote and look on the back, or just the name of it, you can look it up online and it will give you all the codes to the TV's it will hook up to. It's going to depend on which Polaroid TV you have too.

could be a few issues to consider. The video processing card is faulty. hold a flashlight close to the screen and see if you can see the images. if yes, your powerboard has a failure and the backlight has failed. either way, get a repairman to attend to it.

Yes, that's mostly what I use mine for. You actually copy your VHS to the Hard Drive, then copy from your hard drive to your blank DVD. I'm about 1/3 of my way through reformatting my VHS library (800+ tapes.)

We would be happy to help you with that. Here is a list of codes that should address your DISH Network remote to your Sony Blu-ray player: 629, 671, 868, 617, 501, and 768.

Press and hold the DVD/VCR button located on the top of the remote until all the mode buttons at the top of the remote light up, then release. Use the number buttons to enter one of the codes for your Sony Blu-ray player, then press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
