You don't give any brand name or model number of some "microscope" Most microscopes have no SD card slot, so yours must have a camera inside it and a memory recording unit for taking shots.. Most moving microscope stages have a locking lever on one side or another of the ways (the sliding interface between stage and body or stand). If none then there might be some small tensioning screws that adjust the drag in the ways.

You have a microscope with a camera in or on it? And the cord goes to a tablet computer? And "pulled up codes to download" means whet? "Pulled up"? "codes"? Did you "download"? Amazon has used ones for about $25. New they are not worth that much more. They are designed more as a toy, then a real microscope.
