Not getting cold enough does indicate gas loss. Specialists do recommend replacing gas after a period anyway to prolong the ac life, so probably would not be a bad idea to get it recharged

Refrigerator: Freezer not cold enough. Defrost system problems, dirty condenser coils, fan failures, leaky door gaskets or control problems can lead to your freezer not getting cold enough. ... The frost buildup blocks cooling air paths through the evaporator so the freezer doesn't cool well.

If doing a home AC compressor replacement yourself, you can expect to pay anywhere from $300 to $600 for a compressor that fits your air conditioner. On the other hand, if you're not an HVAC technician and need to hire one to do the job for you, a compressor fully installed can cost between $1,500 and $2,000.

When you replaced the thermistor, did you check the resistance of the wiring and temperature sensor back at the control board? If the wires are damaged or the connector at the control board has corrosion, the control board won't get the correct signal information. If those are fine, then the control board is probably faulty. Sears Parts Direct has the control board here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/product/3jlv6aqwdo-0046-253/id-5304512769 . Other repair shops will have this part as well.

I wish that only the refrigerator temperature sensor was faulty. I hope this helps.

To check on the water inlet valve, unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply to it. ... Or it could be that there's dirt or a defect inside the water inlet valve. See the section here on the water dispenser actuator, and the micro switch, since the problem with the water dispensing could lie there as well.

Unplug the LG fridge and wait 20 minutes - Plug back into power - Many times the code will clear or reset. If not keep reading below... -The majority of the time it is the freezer fan causing the Er FF error code. The FF error code indicates that the freezer fan motor is defective.
