My guess is a bad connection or a faulty mainboard.

Check the leak tray inside the base of the machine and see if there is water in there. There is a sensor to detect small leaks.

F1 Flood should have triggered. There is a small, 2 post sensor located under the cover and parts assembly (to the right hand side) of the Mains board (under the plastic cover in the left, lower, rear portion of the base - under the bottom drawer - #10 & 19 in the drawing) and this should trigger with a very small amount of water in the base pan. Maybe dirty, bent or disconnected sensor?? Otherwise, likely a bad comms harness or control board. This is very unusual - never encountered it in 20 years of F&P service. I personally have two of them. One of our kids have it too. We love the F&P dishdrawers.

Note: to actually get correct parts you MUST have the full model and product codes.

The wine glass flashing on door panel indicates water pressure is not turned on. This is why your portable dishwasher stopped mid way. Unplug dishwasher to reset. Plug it back in to restart. If this does not fix the problem, the water flow indicator has malfunctioned.

All dishwashers are "direct drive", but some have one pump assembly and others have two - circulation/wash for one and drain for the other.

Laundry is another discussion.

Water doesn't 'pump', it is released in by the Inlet Water Valve which is an electrically operated faucet.

Check the wire and connection on the IWV and follow it up to the main board. My guess is that it has become detached.
