First remove the bucket. Easily clean the filter w/warm soapy water either under lightly running water or carefully gently clean w/towel. Tap lightly to remove any excess water. Load to big for breaker , Faulty breaker , Short circuit on dehumidifier .

The manual says to contact customer service 866-827-4985. I believe the code refers to a sensor error.

E3 is a sensor error and some say cleaning the air intake filter can help. Others say the humidity sensor needs to be replaced.

Your humidistat is stuck in the "on" position. Probably need to replace it.
