My homedics clock radio is not working like whenever I turn on the radio or sound function it makes this weird buzzing noise! Is it the speaker or is it just broken??

If the radio has an alarm function, it may have been set accidentally.

Spartus 1183-61 Jumbo Alarm Clock gains 5 minutes in a day. How to adjust please?

Question edited for clarity. Category moved to Clocks - Home. Quartz digital clocks normally have no method of adjustment. The most likely reason it is gaining now is a failing capacitor or resistor. A voltage is applied to a quartz crystal and the electrical vibrations from it are translated into time. This article suggests there may be a 'trimmer pot' inside. They look like a short 1/4" block, or a circular device with a Bakelite screw slot in the middle. The need VERY small changes. https://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?139381-My-Digital-Clock-Gains-Time It you really want accuracy, buy a new Atomic Clock that is set automatically via a Time Server. https://www.google.com/search?q=spartus+1183-61&rlz=1C1QJDB_enCA643CA644&oq=spartus+1183-61 ..

Because we put our Seiko

I have seen a similar type of clock whos' owner wanted to silence the alarm and I found that there was a small switch (unmarked) which turend off the striking feature.

Perhaps yours is the same; look for a switch on the back or the bottom.

Glacier Bay dual flush toilet not completely flushing. It almost empties but then gargles the remaining water instead. Adjusting water level valves has not helped. .

Just wanted to say that this fixed my problem! It was taking 3+ flushes to get anything down.

What are some ways to repair your leaking toilet?

It depends on where it leaks. The wax ring that seals the toilet to the waste pipe could be old and dried out. The seal between the tank and the bowl could be old and dried out. The water supply line could be leaking. If you want a stranger on the internet to offer you advice your question needs to be very specific. And you don't have a clue about toilets, best to call a plumber. Sure this is fixable by a handy DIY person. But if that was you, then your question would have been more specific. Kohler Whirlpool jets are weak.

Kohler has good support. You can view the diagrams for that unit with the link I am posting. There are no filters listed in the diagram that might need to be cleaned. There is a chance that the unit has developed a clog from hair etc in the pump impellor. The flange may have come loose and is allowing air in the suction side of the pump too. Kohler has online chat and support numbers you can call too. K-1357-RA ' Devonshire 5-Foot Whirlpool with Apron and Right Drain ' KOHLER

How do i replace the batteries on my all-clad instant thermometer

Remove the top end by pulling it out. This will expose the 3 LR44 batteries inside that power the flashlight. It will take some shaking to start to get them to come out; you should work over a piece of toweling to catch the batteries. It may also take some poking on one end of a battery, causing it to flip on its side; then you can use a pair of tweezers to reach in and pull it out. When replacing, be sure that the positive end is upright on all 3 batteries.

Caroma Sydney Smart II toilet. Why doesn't it fill unless pressure is applied to the top of the fill valve?

Your corrective action suggests a defective fill valve but sometimes the valve can become clogged with foreign matter and has to be flushed (the valve, not the toilet) to restore normal operation.

The on/off switch seems to be broken

If you haven't used it in a while or if it is in a cold area, it may be a warmup issue, try turning it on a waiting a few seconds, even in the best time there is a delay. You are correct to expect the bulb to last a long time most Ott bulbs do last!

How to clean heavy tarnished brass desk pulls

Brasso and Duraglit are both types of brass cleaner that have been around here forever. They are mildly abrasive and when fresh smell strongly of ammonia. The ammonia is an important part of the cleaning process which is why such products must not be left uncorked for longer than necessary. T-cut is an auto paint colour restoring polish that will clean chrome and brass. The traditional type contains ammonia. If the drawer pulls were originally lacquered they will need removing and dipping in paint stripper to remove the remnants of lacquer before cleaning begins. If the pulls have intricate designs a very fine rotary wire brush will be needed to deep clean this if it desired to make a thorough job but many people believe leaving the tarnish in the detail is more attractive.
