If you can check ohms,you can also read volts. Open the radio again and look for DC volts on the rectifiers capacitors.They look like :cans", normally the color is blue. Check for positive dc v. against chassis ground. If no + tension,your rectifier or your secondary are open.

Try replacing the battery on the bottom of the system - alot of people miss it because you have it constantly plugged into the mains, but replacing this (somehow) re-sets the system, and 9 times out of 10 solves the issue.

Flip the unit upside down with display facing you, take your left hand and put down on the left side of the unit. Look at your thumb near buy or underneath it you will see a triangle with lines running through it thats the battery door for a 9v use the triangle for grip when sliding the door (Opens to the left). You will need 1-9v battery maybe different on newer models mine is a 1st generation model. Good luck, hope this helps.

Well, I had the same problem with the right earbud. Luckily I was under warranty with Target, so they told me to contact Bose. I did and they had me send in the headphones (to make sure I waas telling the truth) and about 2 weeks later I got my earbuds back. Their customer service is excellent, so that's what I would reccomend

From the description of the Harmon Kardon, it sounds like you should be able to use the speakers, but you will not be able to use the active equalizer. The equalizer is designed to be cabled into the tape monitoring loop and allows you to listen to the equalized signal coming back into the receiver. Attach the +/- speaker wires to the right and left channel speaker connectors on your receiver.

Failing power supply

First question, are all the volume controls turned up, hardware and Windows. Next, hook up the speakers to a CD player, ipod, etc and make sure they work. If they don't, contact the tech support for Bose at 1-800-999-2673.
If they do work, then it might be an issue with your sound card. Check for updates and run Windows updates. Also, plug in some different speakers and see if they work, if they don't it's an issue with your sound card.

Could be drive failure

Check the markings at the bottom of the unit. It will say how much music power it can handle. It is in watts.
