They are mechanical with cams, so yes, they can work well, work intermittently or not work at all. They are easy enough to swap out if you can find it.

Clean the condenser coils with a brush and a vacuum cleaner.

Anything more will need a service visit. It may need the refrigerant gas topping up.

If it is plugged into the mains and the motor is running, it probably needs a leak repairing and re gassing.

Clean dust and fluff from the condenser fins. Monitor for an hour. If the temperature doesn't come down, you need a service call. Either it needs gas, or the fan has failed on the compressor.

There should be a shut off valve at either the supply water line and sometimes on the back of the refrigerator.
Also, most of the time you can take out the filter without turning the water off and still use the water functions. So if you have a malfunctioning or faulty filter maybe taking it out and leaving it out might do the trick.
You could also check the o ring on the filter and make sure that it is damaged. If the o-ring is damaged find a replacement and see if you still have a leak.

hi kostas.
Condensation runs down the back of the fridge and collects in the gully sitting at the back of the fridge where the water is then channelled through the drain hole into a container which sits on the compressor, it's then evaporated away.

Most frost free refrigerators take water from the freezer so you do not have to defrost the freezer. That being said there should be a drain under the crisper. Check to see if it is clogged.
you may need to put something under the refrigerator to collect the water..

The machine will continue to run water all the time while in harvest mode. The control board blew, and just needs to be replaced. Controls boards can fry without any other signs of anything else being bad. Hoshizaki ice machines dont have a over heat relay that shuts it down upon oerheating if it is the control board

As the harvest cycle (the ice maker fingers rotate to sweep the cubes out of the mold) comes near the end of the rotation, a switch in the ice maker activates to send power to the water valve (located under the refrigerator where the house water supply line connects) and allows perhaps 4 cc of water to flow up a 1/4" plastic line to a fitting on the back of the refrigerator that is aligned with the ice maker inside which then flows into the maker mold. That process refills the ice maker mold and everything shuts off to freeze this water and then initiate another harvest cycle when the entire process is repeated. If there is no water, then there is no ice. Focus on why the water isn't flowing all the way to the ice maker. Look for an ice blockage in the tubing that comes from the back, inside wall of the freezer to the ice maker, or a bad valve. It is rare, but the switch inside the ice maker could be bad. The water valve or a blocked water line are most likely the culprits. Another trick is to pour water into the ice maker mold, wait several hours and see if that freezes and ejects into the pan. If so the ice maker is working, it just has no water to freeze.

The True TSSU-60-16 uses an oversized (134A) refrigeration system with air flow directed at the pans.... if the capillary tube is plugged it will NOT cool at all.. most of the time a restriction (plug) is at the drier where the capillary tube goes into it.. as it is smallest passage in the system...hope it helps

I have a Kenwood tall fridge (KTL60X15) which developed similar faults. It was beeping every time the door was opened (the display showed 88 and all other buttons were lit) and it would beep again when closed. Turns out the wiring from the fridge body to the door had worn out and by the time I discovered the problem 3 of the 5 wires had broken. The wiring can be round under the plastic covers at the top of the door and at the top of the fridge body.. I replace the wiring which was easy to do as it comes as a wiring harness kit (HK1495740) and adjusted how the wiring goes across the top hinge by making a small modification to the plastic covering on the top of the fridge body. So hopefully it won't wear out (at least now I can see it and keep an eye on it).
