Black & Decker Vacuums - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
B andD dustbuster makes loud grinding noise. how can I fix this problem? It is a Pivot lithium 20V unit
On 20V Black and Decker hand vac I was broken motor mounts. I took a housing off with 4 screws and could see that after 2-3 seconds of running the motor would move outwards and pull the fan into another housing. There are 6 struts that the motor rests within. But they do not provide enough friction to keep the motor from moving outward. So I cleaned everything off well, and wiped it down with some acetone. Then I epoxied these struts to the motor body. I think this will work.In the photo you can see a screw. There are breaks in the plastic body that the screw would secure. You can see some struts epoxied to the motor body.
I am charging it for the first time. How can I tell if the battery is charging?
Is it a 'Computer (laptop - Notebook - Chrome Book)', the Category you posted to, or a phone, or a car battery or a Drill Battery Pack, or......................

Need battery for fhv1200
the batteries inside are made up or two battery packs
5 batteries each.. so 10 batteries total
they are Sanyo KR-1500 batteries out of production
the substitute is Kr-1800sc a little longer amp hour rating..
(so that would equal a little longer run time)
you will have to make sure you get batteries with the soldering tab on them... as you will have to solder your own packs back together.. you can probably get the batteries on ebay for about 25 bucks on up...
or you can get the made up packs for 29 bucks each plus shipping
Part # 5KR1800SCEW from batteriesamerica (just search that part#)
and you will still need to cut and solder wires together to make it work... so another disposable product
but that's over 58 bucks and you can get a new vacuum for 50.00 not sure if the new ones come with the new batteries or the discontinued ones....
