I was looking for instructions for a Bialetti
Here is the owner's manual. Also, by filling the filter with espresso grounds and using water, you are making espresso. It only becomes cappuccino by adding milk.http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CEcQFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffantes.com%2Fmanuals%2Fmukka_express_manual.pdf&rct=j&q=Bialetti%20%22Mukka%20Express%22%20owners%20manual&ei=JdWATp7uLcu4tge7prWNAQ&usg=AFQjCNEIi9J9flq7TmgLWUYOiLF4KatH3g&sig2=UqfzIzEfVCpfZv60t1wClg
My mukka is shooting steam out of the small
I had the same problem and saw this solution in another bialetti mukka problem report, which made sense: "the safety valve on the lower boiler chamber is there to release pressue
in case too much prssure builds up in the pot when brewing. If youy
have an 11 mm wrench you can take it out and clean it by pulling on the
outsidepart, there is a little knob that may be grabbed by a tweezer,
gently pull it out, it is spring tensioned, and run water in the
opposite end, Chances are some coffee grounds particles got in it and it
is not seating good. after cleaning put a few drops of olive oil in it ,
the inside part. Should seal better and still funtion as a safety
valve. Or you can leave it in place in the pot and just pull on the
outside , flush with water and then put a few drops of olive oil in it.
While you are at it, put olive oul on the threads, olive oil film and
the the rubber seal and add a little to the rubber button on the top
valve."
I cannot unscrew the top
If the bottom is screwed too tight on the top, you could try to warm the with hot water and cool the bottom with cold. This could help to expand the top and make it easier to unscrew.

Try turning down the temperature. Also make sure there is no coffee left around the edge of the joining surface. This worked for me.
Steam blows out of valve
Make sure your grinds are ground properly. If you try a different coffee and it still continues the valve may be no good. Also remove the screen on the top half and make sure the passage to the top is clear.

How do you replace the battery in the knob on
On the knob there is a plastic o-ring. Insert a non sharp tool and pry it until the cap opens. Be careful that some parts will fly around. Remove and replace the batteries while taking care not to loose the spring. Reassemble and remember that the silver part of the metal disc goes towards the 2 electric contacts. To close the knob i used a mallett; i put the knob upside down on the floor and hit the metal screw.
I just purchased a Bialetti
There is a valve in the compartment where you place your fresh, cold water. This valve must not be covered as it is necessary in building up steam pressure to push the brewed espresso upwards. Also, most stove espresso makers have a rubber type gasket that is usually placed on the base of the upper part of the maker. Check that you have a gasket.
