Well fer a start you should'nt be sitting round al day playing games. Maybe gitcher but off the sofa and mow the lawn like you said you were gunna do last week.

I just connected my Ethernet cable and had my pc join the built in network. I personally don't like those extenders

you probably want to access you router, right ? Your router has a standard passwort set yhich should be written under your router ( depends on which router u use ). If u changed it you can reset your router to factory settings and then reenter it and it should work. (you have to look up how to reset your router because i dont know what kind youre using ) Resettin will also reset wifi passwort / name and ever other options u might have changed beforehand.

Try reseting your Belkin and then configure it again, To reset the Belkin back to the default settings - Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and then power for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button. Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1 The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password. If your internet provided suspects your using a router to lead to more than once pc - it cost them bandwidth - that said - you must call your provider. Ask them if you need to use a 'keep alive' setting. Belkin is SUPER at helping you set up your unit as well.
Ask the ISP - Internet Service Provider about this. As it is the DSL losing it- the Dynamic mean - changing and they are pulling the signal to save money.

Sounds like at some point and time that they did their jobs and took a power hit. Now because of that the batteries inside them are no longer able to do their jobs. You can try taking one of the units and have the battery changed out for a new one. Or if you are handy you can try it yourself. This is usually the problem and had been the problem on all of mine so far. Just bought a new battery for them and they were fine BUT this is based on MY experience alone. Hold the Reset Button in, (You have to use a Pen Tip) for at least 5 seconds, that should reset router back to factory defaults.

Setup steps:

1. Locate the reset hole on the router. The button will be on the back or side of the router.
   See images below:

1. Leave the router powered on.
2. Use a paperclip (or similar) to press and hold in the reset button for 10 seconds.
3. Remove the paperclip.
4. Wait approximately one minute for the router to restart.

The settings for the router have now been reset back to their default.

Best if we know which operating system is used. (First things first .. Batteries) However, there is an easy way to narrow-down the issue. I'd try the mouse/keyboard on another PC, and check it's action. If it works there, then perhaps drivers from the manufacturer's website can be installed on the PC referred to.
