You've probably solver it now, but if not, try holding the nozzle from your vacuum cleaner against the socket and sucking it out. If that doesn't do the trick, then tip the card up so the socket is pointing down and try tapping the socket-the combination of gravity + vibration may loosen the wire enough to protrude, then you can retrieve it with tweezers or small pliers.

Card is not making the connections when inserting
As it turns out, I was unaware of the "express" type slots for express cards. And as it turns out, I have an express slot built into my laptop that I didn't even know existed even though I've had this computer for a couple of years. The media card fits in the express slot just fine with the stabilizer. Now if I can get the card to pick up a signal...any signal besides the "snow and static" channel.

Well I'm glad it sounds like you fixed it.. Just so you know you have Restore, computer still with Windows Vista Ultimate, and if you do have the FULL VERSION Vista on a DISK, you can reinstall it over and over again, I have... I find that because I use my computer so much, that every 7 or 8 months I do a clean reinstall, to make sure that my virus program hasn't missed anything, and to protect what I do with my computer system too. Its a pain, but it keeps it working pretty good.

I just did a Google search for this in the Google box, and it came up on the list, If you have access to a computer and obviously you do, try going to google like I just did and putting in what I just put in, realtek High definition Audio driver you should get what I did, and that should help you.
