The cure for about any non-working software, including operating systems, is to uninstall it, and then re-install it. After you reinstall it, restart the computer, close all open programs, and then try to run it. If this fails, start the computer in safe-mode, and then run it. Did you check that version is compatible with Windows 8? If it is, you will need to get in touch with Avanquest. I have found them very helpful.
