How to wire a 6 ohm audiobahn ALUM10N subwooferto reduce ohms to a single chanel amp

unfortunately if you only have the one woofer there isn't really any safe way to do so but if you had a pair of woofers you could in theory wire them in parallel thus creating only a 3 ohm load but your amp must be able to work at such low ohms otherwise you WILL blow up your amp.

I have a 2 ohm

Generally there are 2 parts to this problem part 1 input signal as these woofers are just subs remember to give them a low line in signal before the amp (see diagram) i like to use rca low pass crossover filters from harrison labs (see link) part 2 is the wiring configuration of the 2 woofers by wiring them in parallel as shown in the diagram you reduce them to a 2 ohm load for your 2 ohm amp meaning you'll get max loudness and efficiency 2ohm low amp-vytae2j2uoxlsgotk4qtkzpd-5-0.png Harrison Labs FMOD Inline Crossover Pair 100 Hz Low Pass RCA Shipping is...

Hi I have a problem with my amp and would like to

sounds like a thermal overheat protect issue, sorry to break it to you but sadly the way most amps are built these days it's either not worth the cost of trying to repair or impossible to do so by hand. you'd be better off just getting a new amp

Hi anybody knows how to wire Orion H2 12.2 to 1ohm? I got Audiobahn A2x400HQ amplifier 1600w rms on 1 ohm

to drop the amp load to 1 ohm you need to divide the output signal path and the best way is by wiring a second woofer in parallel as seen in the ideal diagram attached this has the desired effect of doubling the volume . since 2 ohm divided by 2 is 1 ohm load connected to your amp. so the short answer is no you can't do that with a single woofer 2ohm low amp-vytae2j2uoxlsgotk4qtkzpd-5-2.png

Brand new Audiobahn amp burning smell

i'd need more info but from what you've stated, sorry to break it to you but it sounds likely you've incorrectly wired you speakers and blown your amp. this will prove no doubt an expensive mistake and learning exercise.

I have a audiobahn aw1251t 12 inch sub and punch 1000-1db amp how would i wire it up

as your sub is only rated to 400w rms simply connect the sub to either a or b channel outputs you may wish to use an rca splitter before the amp to feed both left and right audio channels into a single channel on the amp. WARNING connecting both channels on the amp to the sub will overload the sub and possibly blow it up so i highly recommend not doing so.

Hi ya, due to my stupidity i managed to connect

Obviously you damaged more than just the fuses when you did the deed. Check out your power supply and amplifier output stages for damage(s).

How do i replace capacitor of unknown value on amplifier circuit board? Audiobahn A8000T. Component location number is CP10

First, what type capacitor is it? If it looks like a small can, then this will be a polarized canister type. There should be a small band on one side with arrows and probable plus marks. The wire below the can on this side will be the positive side of the cap. Make sure you note where and how you remove it from the circuit as a new one will have to go back in the same order. Look on the side of the can, you should see a number followed with a figure that looks like a 'u' with a line on both sides. This will mean microfared. Which is a unit of measure. (Example. 1000 u ) would mean one thousand microfared. (Micro is a measure for parts of a million). Now note the physical size. Very important since this determines the power handling capability. Do not reinstall a new part that is different. Now you are on your way to a complete repair. Take the old part and try to find a local electronic parts store. You can usually buy an entire pack of these for a few bucks. You can also search online. You may also use a cap of the same type from an old circuit board if one is available. NOW IF THE CAP IS A SMALL CERRAMIC TYPE, this one will look like a small round disk, usually light brown in color. This one can be reinstalled in either direction. It is not polarized. There should be a number on one side, (example: 1000 u) .the size also matters just like the can type. Replace with identical type. If no number is present, take the part to your local electronics store. (Radio Shack for example). If this fails, I would go on line and find the manufacture of the product. You may also search REPAIRCLINIC.COM they carry a large line of parts. Hope this helps.

How do you hook up 3 12 inch woofers to an 1800watt audiobahn 2 channel amp to receive more depth in the bass?

Hi, im a retired installer so let me see if i can help you out. First, you need to get the impedance of your woofers. Next, you need to find out if your amp is bridgeable. That means you can make both channels tie together. Now here is your issue to consider. Running an odd number of woofers may not be the way to go because of your impedance. That being said, if you can get me the info above i can tell you the best way to set you up.

What is the cubic feet needed to build box for audioban 12

You can use this speaker in either a ported or sealed box. A sealed box would be smaller, (sealed box volume: 0.5 to 1.25 cubic feet) the larger the box the more base you will get. With a sealed box your amp has to work double hard as it would in a ported box ( 1.3 to 3.2 cubic feet) You will get close to double the volume in a ported box. Tuning a ported box with the size and length of the port will determine the hertz the speaker will play at.
