did you set the timer for filter --filters will run as per set cycles- cycles are usually preset[default 6 to 8 hrs ]per 12 hr

Check the filters. Also check to make sure the seal is good around the filter. Sometimes if not run for a long time the pump may need to be primed by adding water to the pump.

possible communication error try resetting all components of system if same check wire to controller
