What is maximum GB supported for hard drive
Normally there is not such limit in recent moterboards, but if you used old motherboards which released during 2007-08 they can support upto 500GB per slot, and there is normally 2-4 slots for connection of HDD.
In this way you can have upto 2TB of HDD storage.

If you open your motherboard, then you can see a lot of input and output ports behind the motherboard, where you connect VGA, mouse, keyboard etc wires at that place there is a 3.5mm jack which may be green in color, you can connect specker wire there

Led 1 and led 2
Led 2 flashing indicates the the computer is undergoing POST (testing components). If it flashing then something is wrong, usually the computer beeps a cumber of times which translates to a code eg ram error.
When led 2 is stable, the computer completed POST and is booting up through bios and then the OS.
Led 1 on which means the computer is receiving power.

If the above does not work, and you have important files that you don't want to lose, you could try this... Pull the hard drive out, and use a "USB Hard Drive Adapter" (available fairly cheap online) to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive. At least you may not lose you files.
