If this is a LCD monitor, most likely the invertor or the bulb is not working correctly. If you shine a flashlight at the monitor you should be able to see the image. What has happened is the back light is not lit to display the image. If you are handy at repairing electronics you can swap invertor and bulb from the other monitor if they are the same model and size. It may require some soldiering though.

Sounds like its T'Con board fault. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Faults to all LCD & Plasma screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size. I had same problem, go to the menu and under PICTURE BOOST there are 6 options choose BRIGHT FRAME and turn it OFF. Corner white blob is gone.

What horizontal lines do you mean? I can think of several. - You could have a line of dead pixels on your monitor, this would probably be caused by wear and tear of the monitor, or because it has been handled the wrong way. - You could be experiencing 'screen tearing'. This is caused by your videocard struggling for a moment. - If you're running an older, analog monitor, it could be because the cable you're using is getting older and needs to be replaced.

What resolution is the AOC monitor capable of using? What is default resolution of the device you are connecting? If the default is 1080P and the monitor is not 1080P capable then that would be your problem. You could attach to another monitor or HDTV and possibly turn down the resolution then try again.

If you have an HD source plugged into an HD input port and have the proper input selected, you should be set. If not, the only thing I can think of is to try toggling your aspect ratio by pressing the [wide] button. You won't have HD unless you've plugged into an HDMI port.

The brightness can be changed by pressing the menu button on the monitor.
