I've got a bench grinder with black,Red,an green I found a plug with black, white,an green can these wires be connected together to make it work?thanks for your Time

Hello Kenny What you are saying is you have a plug with wires on there already and it have Black, White and Green? Green is the Ground wire and it will connect to the green wire on your bench grinder. Black will go to Black on your grinder - it is the hot wire. This leaves Red to white wire on your plug. NOTE: is the wires on your plug the same size as your bench grinder wire or larger? If the plug wires are smaller - then go buy just a plug and connect the grinder wires directly into the plug. Green to Ground green screw or round terminal. Normally Black wire goes to Brass screw = both words start with the letter "B"

My toyostove lazer 73 has too much soot

I am not a heating expert so take this with a grain of salt. IMHO, a sooty burning oil burner (which kerosene is used in) is due to too much fuel or too little air. An oil burner consumes oxygen, therefore ventilation is required. A direct vent supplies makeup air and provides and exhaust path. Kerosene comes in a couple of different grades. K2 is generally used for heating. SO, insure you have the correct type kerosene. Inspect your direct vent to insure it is drawing in air from the outside easily. Insure your control is not supplying too much kerosene. The flame should not be red - that is a definite indication of too little air/too much fuel. If it is very blue, it may get blown out. Your manual should show you the perfect flame color. If you are smelling kerosene, that would be a good indicator that something is wrong with your direct vent. Any leak between the exhaust section and the makeup air section will cause this. Reinstall the vent and insure the directions are followed. Moving the vent after installation is perfect for breaking the seals and creating the problem. Have you had any earthquakes lately?

Ods10 levaton

does your wiring look like what is shown in the instruction papers? From your description, it does not sound like it. There is no white wire attached to the switch. What type of bulbs are you connecting to? These require bulbs that can pass small amounts of current when off == incandescents and florescent. They may not work with LEDs.

Wattstopper dclv2 wired with bz-200 power pack. Functions fine at first then Lights go out after 35 seconds. Why?

The BZ 200 is a 'transformer' ... it converts incoming 120 volt AC to 24 volt DC .... If you connect dimmer to the power pack, it changes the waveform of incoming voltage, or changes the voltage ... the transformer cannot deliver the correct output voltage. It's like connecting a cell phone charger to a dimmer ... the charger will not perform as expected. BZ-200 manual appears following link: http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Legrand-BZ200-120V-AC-to-24V-DC.pdf

1000 663 148 digital wall timer is working but won't control lights with set programs. We experienced a power outage after which the timer won't control even though it's been reset and re-programmed?

if it has been reset and reprogrammed properly, there is a good chance the power outage damaged the unit.
