Hello,
I understand your problem and know it is frustrating for you with what appears to be an easy fix. I can give you a couple ideas, that are cheap and easy, as long as you have decent room and access. One thing you could try is a good zip tie, that you can get at any home depot, lowells, hardware store or auto parts store. Just put it around and pull it snug, But for a even more semi permanent fix, what i personally would do, is go to auto parts store for example and buy a hose clamp. They come in lots of sizes. Measure approximate size of your exhaust hose and, but a clamp a few inches bigger, and put it around hose where it clamps, normally takes a Phillips screw driver, or small socket and snug it down, then for sure it will go no where. If you are not sure what size hose clamp to get, tell the guys at the hard ware store the size of your hose, and they know what size clamp you need. I hope this works for you as I am sure it will. Thanks Mike from Fixya.
