Sounds like the load size switch on the control panel is not contacting any position except the small load. Replace the switch.

general its in this modern age there is not a repairable unit anymore to find that can be refurbished by change but that program unit will have to be fully replaced even if its only a capacitor problem is or an bad soldering its not repairable and there should have an remplacement for it or a thermic problem on some active parts somewhere inside all components are sealed with epoxy resin , maybe here is an answer to find in the link but i dont know the age of the machine but Beware first to see if there is still a warranty on the machine and take your purchase receipt if there is but even some connectors and sensors can give faults to the (control, power)its better named an powerpack assembly but sensors microswitches and more parts that could be also have a prior problem thats going to part 3 first make good inspection and cleaning consider at the age of the machine and purchase if it is still worthwhile when it is an older machine My NFW7300WW02 Model Overview from PartSelect com

Sounds like the washers clutch is out, the repair of this type is more than any machines value. You can call a repair shop if still under warantee but if not just buy a new or used one, the repair will be out of balance & at best will last 18-22 months, but will cost as much if not more than a new value priced machine. :-) good luck.

I would first check the door lock switch. This is a safety devise that is designed to shut down your machine when you open the door. Now what I'm getting at is that your machine lid may have slammed down breaking the plastic part of the switch. This switch is like the circuit breaker for your machine. You may even be able to replace yourself. Good Luck Friend.

If the washer is acting as if it is getting no power, but you have checked the power wall outlet ... there is a chance that the power cord itself has failed. I found a reference to someone who had a pinched power cord that had shorted out ... resulting in the washer getting zero power. Carefully inspect your cord ... but the challenge is that you may not be able to see visible damage. Another reason for no power to the washer can be that an internal non-replaceable fuse on the circuit board has blown.

I think you will find that the water inlet valve is not operating at all take the top off to see if its that making the noise its where the water hose is connected eric

Your pump can be clogged as well. Here is a generic video that shows how to unclog a drain pump.

sounds like the clothes load is unbalanced and uneven try sorting out the load and balance it out if it keeps banging side to side try checking the springs inside the washer (careful when opening your clothes washer please! or allow a pro to open your washer and inspect it for any spring weaknesses)
