How do I connect Aleis gt with alesis q2
Those units are both made to go in the effects loop of an amplifier, you would want to hook your effects send to the input of one unit, then the output of that to the input of the second unit, and the final output into the effects return of your amplifier

Hi team! I've just bought an Alesis Q49
That is what you can use transpose for... Now the truth is revealed: What transpose does is JUST move the notes (including the black keys) up and down the keyboard... that is ALL transpose does... so if you transpose +1 when you hit C the keyboard emits C# and hitting C# emits D and hitting D emits D#, etc... Now with trsnspose set at -2, hitting C results in B flat being emitted and for instance hit a G at transpose -2 results in F being emitted... Simple isn't it? For MIDI all they do is add the transpose to the note number. Don't forget that the black keys are counted as well as the white ones.
How to download the OS firmware?
Hi, I'm in the process of restoring a Masterlink, and have just done what you are trying to do. Go to this link:
http://www.alesis.com/masterlink
Read through the materials and then go into "Docs and Downloads" and there you will find the "System Software Update Guide", which explains how to determine which OS version you need based on your serial number, so you can create the ISO disc for the OS you need. I suggest you print it out for easy reference. Then download and unzip the OS files and create your Operating System ISO CD. The instructions are pretty clear so if you're methodical you should have no problems getting up and running soon. Have fun!

When I hit the snare
I believe I have found a good part of the solution to this problem. I also had this problem in the snare. The problem was so severe that, when pulled, the snare support, without giving him any beat, the sound appeared. I took courage and opened the snare.Ao open, I realized that a yellow adhesive used to glue the trigger wire had melted and the other touching the trigger. I think this must have happened at some point prior to my purchase that equipment has been under excessive heat and then drained to such a glue. Simply cut the little wire glue "connected" two triggers, and closed the snare ....... ready: is working perfectly.
Scratchy volume potentiometer
Try cleaning your volume potentiomenter with contact cleaner (they come in spray can's), the scratchy sound is audible when you turn your volume control on, the contacts inside your potentiometer accumulated dust or some other particles.
How do I put sounds on the pad
What sounds?
Music can be placed, using iTunes on a PC or MAC. If you have installed iTunes on the computer (it is a free program), you can rip any CD on the computer, and it can add the music to your iPad.
For podcats, you can get audio for free on the net. and there are many more possibilities to get things on the iPad (Mini) for free. Don't forget to use the volume contral, as soon as you want to play anything. Knobs on the side, or swipe up, to open the control panel and swipe the volume to the right.
How to program drum beats from one alesis sr16to another alesis sr16 drum machines
5.4J Copy a Song to Another SR-16 Via MIDI
The SR-16 can send Song system exclusive information to another SR-16 via MIDI. If you have only one SR-16, you can skip this section.
1. The source SR-16 should be in Song mode and stopped. Connect the source SR-16 MIDI out to the destination SR-16 MIDI in.
2. Select the Song to be copied.
3. Press and hold the COPY button, and keep holding it down until step (5). The display says COPY TO SONG.
4. Do not enter any destination Song number-just press PLAY to send the data out over MIDI. It will end up in whatever Song number had been selected at the receiver. If the Song was not empty, the new Song steps will be appended to the existing Song steps.
5. Release the COPY and PLAY buttons.
Caution: This does not transfer Pattern information, only the song steps. To transfer Patterns to another SR-16, see section 3.3D and 3.3E.
Hopefully this helps, it comes out of the SR16 Manual, page 40 I think
Cheers Pete
