No, it you don't have Composite Video connections, you can't. Alba is not a good make, it is a bargain basement brand from the 70s and 80s. Check Facebook Marketplace for something a bit more modern and HD.

Alba lcd19880hdf. Cannot get the AV inputs to work. I have connected to different audio o/p to AV inputs. tested audio o/p from computer and leads all proved working audio signal
The most possible scenario is that there is a dry joint somewhere between the video input female rca connector and the tv board's main signal processor, and a technician's assistance would be a good solution for the problem. Attached here below is a link to your tv model operation manual download. Please go through it and see if it works, if it fails, consider changing the entire main board.

I have an alba 24”tv and just set up. All fine except when I select guide on tv and select channel pressing ok. I have the sound but no picture it stays on guide screen. If I press source and free view I can gain the picture. Aldo using channel up and down buttons on remote changes channels. Why can’t I get yo select from guide and press ok? Thank you
This is a common trait with cheap brands. Alba are a cheap brand for a reason. Supermarket own brands also suffer flaws like this.
Cheaper usually means you lose a lot of functions that make life easier. Take Polaroid a cheap brand for Asda supermarkets. Use one of there TVs and you’ll see the same thing. You can press guide. You don’t get a tv picture in the guide like most more expensive brands. Select a channel. Press ok. Normally your guide would close once you press ok. But on these TVs you have to press ok. Then yet again press guide to close the TV guide to watch the channel.
When you buy cheap the normal practice is you give up silly things and quality that make normal life easier on proper brands like Sony or Samsung.
Some cheaper TVs you’ll also find don’t have a network or Ethernet connection or WiFi. To enable use of software updates. Cheaper TVs normally have to rely on “over the air” updates meaning the update has to be broadcast over UHF the same way your tv channels are. This is very rarely done as the updates can be to large in size.
It’s simply just the design of the tv you have. Cheaper doesn’t always mean better.
