SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If the images are on the card you select the appropriate pics and then from the MENU select delete. OR you can remove the card and and place it into a card reader select and delete.

The problem is that AIPTEK itself never released a driver for Vista withthis model. This is, as a matter of fact, a discontinued model. You are better off buying another camera. Good luck.

Go to http://www.aiptek.com/Support/, click on "Go to Driver & Manual Download" and go from there.

Move the slide switch on the side of the card.

1. aiptek web site has a driver solution for vista users I had same problem but with Win XP it keep seeing it as a flash drive .... I uninstalled drivers and re-installed them,- same error, then uninstalled again and removed the USB from device manager uninstalled direct X cause it was the newest version, then install everything from scratch without turning the camera on then try again and nothing, finally I turn to the manual and somewhere says "if you need to use it as web cam then press the menu button on the camera and select camara!!! as soon as I did that and additional port found in windows was detected and installed automatically then I got my video and microfono up and running. So easy right, but like always the software CD is missing the manuals too and people do not read. LOL .....

Your problem has a very simple fix. The camera which you have is not compatible with SDHC cards. It will only work with regular SD cards.

Your camera is incompatible with the later SDHC specification at the basic hardware level and so cannot format the card which you have purchased.

Note that SD cards are available up to and including 4GB and SDHC start at 4GB so you're not the only person to have made this mistake. In practice there are very few devices designed to use regular SD cards which will work correctly with 4GB SD; Aiptek only designed and tested the IS-DV up to 1GB SD capacity (see page 48 of the user manual), so this is the effective limit to the largest capacity memory card which you can use, if you try larger capacity cards they will either not work at all or will make the camera operations sluggish and you also risk damaging the card itself so that it will no longer correctly format. Aiptek never released any firmware updates to improve the SD compatibility on your camera.

I'm sorry not to be able to offer any way to use your current SDHC card but at least I may have prevented you making another purchasing mistake. Please return the favour by rating my answer.

first check out is the battery properly charged.next see if the battery is too old then also this happens so try with brand new sets of battery and check out.the batteries are not too costly.also try by removing the battery then inserting the battery then charging the battery then turning the unit ON.many times it works.

also the unit is under warranty of a year.if the unit is not damaged physically then its counted under warranty in any such problem occurs like yours.

Yes you can. Here's what worked for me.

First disconnect your camera.

Software
Uninstall your existing software.
Download new software from http://www.goaiptek.com/drivers/driverfiles/minixp_1.5.zip Unzip.
Install the new software but DO NOT CONNECT THE CAMERA UNTIL INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE.

Camera
Remove any batteries.
Set switch to 'On'
Set Mode to Video
When software installation is complete, plug in camera to PC with USB cable supplied.
Run installed program on PC. The Mega camera screen will appear. Click on 'Live'. Your camera picture should appear on the screen.

have you switched te battery to the other side? switch it around. maybe u put it in wrong.
