Go to the Internet , search for the make and model of your camera. Download it and install.

I spoke to my son, and he did it for me.

Go to http://www.videolan.org and download the VLC media player. It should play the files.

go to the Aipteck home page then to the dv3500 page drivers are there.

Frist you dont need any extra drivers for your Cam, Its plug n play and opens up on your computer as A hard drive.

1. Plug your USB cable in your computer.
2. Now turn on your Cam.
3. Now plug your USB Cable in to your In/out on your cam
4. Look at your cam and set it to "OUT"
5. A new folder should pop up some tims 2 folders. open each folder tell you find you files.
6. now pick the files you wont, right mouse click and pick "Cut" then right mouse click and past to the folder you wont your photos in.

I know you can use it as a webcam, just not sure of where to get the drivers if you do so

Im looking for that right now, but yea you can use it as a web cam, thats what I plan on doing

I have found that my aiptek digital camcorder also freezes like this sometimes after I have pressed the button to stop recording a movie. You are right that sometimes you must remove the battery to unfreeze it, but I have found a couple of other tricks that work sometimes.

1. You can hold down the menu button for a few seconds (like 6). Sometimes this kicks it into the menu and unfreezes it.

2. Sometimes using the power button inside of where the screen stores to turn it on and then off again often helps.

3. Popping the digital card out (push in so it unlocks, then push it right back in) also helps unfreeze it for me.

If those don't work, pop the battery out again.

I do find that every few months I need to clean the connection points on both my battery and the camera where the battery clicks in. After I do this it behaves much better for a couple months. Good luck.
