16v adaptor for agfa snapscan 1212p scanner
Hi.
I have one of those, but I doubt that you're close enough for us to meet. (Toronto, On.)
What you're looking for is a 16V, 900ma centre positive adapter. Try your local Goodwill stores. They often have adapters.
Good luck,
John

Ony by downloading the revised driver from Agfa,
Going on past experience when the great move from 98[DOS] to XP[NTFS] happened it can be a fraught experience and very often a new scanner in this Case VISTA compatible could be the answer.
Drivers for Vista
With the Computer.
Go to Start/programs/accessories/system Tools/Compatibility and attempt to reset the computer to the Windows mode the Scanner was made for.
Be aware however that Scanners made for use with Win 95/98/ME operate under DOS commands and 2000/XP/Vista work on the NTFS system so there is a hardware not software problem.
You will I feel wind up buying a Vista Compatible Scanner
Agfa e25 scanner
Scanners tend to be made not to be dismantled,
So this is a problem you will have to figure your self or buy a new scanner
Compatibility
no, it's not compatable, but sometimes the windows 2000 drivers are much the same as xp, it's worth a try

Hardware problem
Did you apply the lock in the move?
Take a look under the base- also check the manual.
Failing that then one can only assume it has had a bump in the move.
Depending on age you could try the makers- maybe a warranty hope there.
Certainly the tech support may have some answers as may be here

Motti, Have you tried a new cable(USB)from the scanner to the computer.? Does the scanner try to scan something from the unit itself? and just has no communication with the computer. You may also try to uninstall the scanner and software...then rehook the scanner and try to reinstall.
Otherwise to be honest there are alot of inexpensive scanners available now that probably don't cost more than the cable.
Let me know what happens.
Good Luck,
Tim
