The odds are that when the knob was removed or reinstalled it damaged the igniter switch. This part usually comes as part of a harness

Can you explain what you mean by different from conventional cookers

Hello. Take a close look at the burners and the wires leading to the ignitors. Sometimes grease buildup is the problem and a careful cleaning with a degreaser and some cotton swabs is all it takes. Other times, especially if the stove has been used alot for over a year, the wires to the ignitors deteriorate and prevent the capacitors from working properly. If that is the case, the fix is to replace those wires. Joe

For $9.90 I am glad to tell you. I got sucked in thinking it was a aeg site to help tradesmen if they come across unknown problems.
Other brands I work for have sites to help at no cost, I am hoping there is one out there for aeg products too.
I hope the customer dont find this site, There will be a few dead one out there if they do. A lot less work for us tradesmen trying to do a fair days work too.
